Lutron Experience Center DC

Just got back from a great vist to the new Lutron Experience Center in Washington, DC. We are trying to figure out how we can use this fabulous facility! We're sure we'd like to take customers down there and maybe host a designer ASID CEU seminar. So if you are interested in any of those things, please let us know! It's also inspired us to train more of our electrician customers to be Radio RA2 installers, but we think we'll do those trainings here in Chantilly in Dominion's conference room, and also at our rep's offices in Columbia, MD.

This is their conference room. That's not a checkerboard! It's how they show us all their shade options and the differences between light & dark shades, with different degrees of how much you can see through them.

Another shot in the conference room. There are more shades on the right, and then some of their products on the credenza in the center.

Shaun Taylor of Lutron was showing Marcia Hussey from our Laurel store their new pleated, motorized shades

The entire experience center is lit only with fluorescent and LED sources ~ even their refrigerator! Very impressive!

This is a shot of what their software can tell you about how much energy you are using and saving. The technology is unbelievable!

Then we got to go up on the roof! Can you see the Washinton Monument out there?

Can't you picture a nice wine & cheese party up there?

And there's the Capitol ~ a gorgeous view!

They tell us we can bring clients to see the center any time we care to ~ we just need to make an appointment. So please let us know if you'd like us to take you there to see it all for yourself!
