Throwback Thursday - back to 2000

I have been enjoying "Throwback Thursday" on my personal Facebook feed so much, I decided we needed to join in the fun here at Dominion Electric Supply!  So I've dug out some old photo albums (courtesy of Sarah Smart, our former Lutron rep who was our best historian!), and today's random assortment comes from a Custom Builders Council reception here in Chantilly in the year 2000.

This is Karen Longava, formerly of our Arlington showroom (now retired), with me (Catherine Nelson Schlawin) and Amanda Leonard.  Amanda is now my assistant showroom manager.

Mike Stombock, now VP of Branch Sales, with Mark Koehler, still our rep with One Source Associates, and I'm not sure who the man on the right is!

So many dear customers in this one:  Wayne Foley, Jack Evans (he was our Leviton rep at the time, then worked for us for a while, and now is retired), Kathy from Garcia is turned, then Mike Garcia, Jeff Carpenter, and Pat Stack.

Giorgina Schnurr & Nicole White Brose from our Arlington showroom ~ Giorgina just celebrated her 45th anniversary here, and Nicole is coming up on 25 years.

Stuart Thayer with me

Our photographer & Lutron rep, Sarah Smart, with Jeff Carpenter & me.  Jeff just won a remote-controlled dimmer ~ great new technology at the time!
Linda's going to have to help me with this one ~ it's Linda Morley, our Arlington showroom manager, with a builder customer whose name I can't recall, then Chris Pinckney who was our outside salesman at the time, and another builder customer I can't remember!

The thing I am most amazed by when looking through these pictures is how many Dominion employees from 2000 are still here today in 2013.  And perhaps more importantly, so many of these customers are still with us!  What wonderful loyalty!  We've also remodeled the Chantilly showroom so many times, it is hardly recognizable in these pictures!
